Implementation Science Grant Program Returns for 2021
Building on the success of the inaugural program in 2020, SHP is once again providing four $25,000 grants for essential work pilot testing the implementation of an evidence-based intervention, program or innovation into practice.
Sydney Health Partners funded four pilot projects in 2020, but the high quality of applications subsequently attracted funding from Sydney Local Health District, Western Sydney Local Health District and Northern Sydney Local Health District for seven additional projects.
“The quality of the applications last year was outstanding and that was reflected in Partnership-wide efforts to support 11 projects in total,” said SHP’s Director of Implementation Science, Dr Nicole Rankin.
“Research into how we can more effectively translate healthcare innovations into routine clinical practice is gaining significant traction nationally. Sydney Health Partners recognises the enormous potential across our Partnership in implementation science and we anticipate receiving similarly excellent proposals this round.”
SHP expects that the outcomes of the pilot projects will help teams to submit competitive applications for larger grants.
Applications are now open, and close Monday 15 October, with funding to commence in December 2021.
