Co-branded and organised with the generous support of the University’s Academic Implementation Science Network, the Symposium was attended by a capacity crowd of 110 people.

Professor Aarons’ keynote address described his Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, Sustainment (EPIS) framework for collaborative policy and team-based implementation strategies.

The 2024 symposium also featured a presentation by Associate Professor Ronald Castelino from Western Sydney Local Health District, who was co-recipient of an SHP pilot grant in 2020 to implement an electronic integrative tool to facilitate adverse drug reaction reporting at Blacktown Hospital.

Symposium attendees were also engaged in a facilitated discussion in which they were asked to prioritise implementation science research questions within the NSW Health system.
