The evidence-practice gap can only be closed if evidence-based interventions and models of care are implemented at scale across health systems. But scaling-up complex health interventions to large populations is a challenging task.

On April 18, Sydney Health Partners’ Senior Advisor, Professor Andrew Milat, will describe current methods, frameworks and tools used to scale-up health interventions. Using real world examples in health care, he will examine key implications for implementation science, policy and practice.

Professor Andrew Milat is ranked in the top 0.1% of researchers globally in program evaluation and has published >150 academic journal papers.  Professor Milat has held roles including Acting Executive Director and Director, Evidence and Evaluation in the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence, NSW Ministry of Health. He has also held positions including the Head of the Knowledge Transfer Division at the Sax Institute, Research Manager with the Australian Government Department of Health and Local Health District Director of Health Promotion.
